In a recent report, researchers found a way to quickly charge electric car batteries up to 90% in 10 minutes

However, fast charging depends upon both the battery and the charging station

But the good part is both EV makers and charging stations are building fast EV charging in India.

This will be implemented widespread within  5 years.

For now, Kia has the fastest EV charger in India.

Kia set up the charger in Gurgaon, Haryana

This EV charger can charge the Kia EV6 from 10% to 80% in 42 minutes

They will be installing 15 more in 12 cities in India

With 150kw charging capacity that can juice up the Kia EV6 up to 80% within just 42 min.

Well, 42 minutes is still a lot, but we are progressing exponentially.

As the report says may reach 5 minutes charging benchmark within next 5 years.
