Introduction
Launched in 2019, Revolt Motors was among the first companies to offer customers a hands-on experience with electric motorcycles. While the initial versions struggled with quality issues, the company rapidly improved its products as competition grew. Through consistent innovation and technological advancements, Revolt has now emerged as the No. 1 player in the electric motorcycle segment. One of the key reasons behind this is the wide range of offerings and intelligent market segmentation.
In this blog post, we’re gonna explore all the E-Bike variants provided by the company, make a detailed comparison and conclude with a purchasing decision based on various conditions.

Revolt Electric Motorcycle Variants
Revolt Motors offers 5 variants on the market, with one upcoming variant set to be launched in 2026.
- Revolt RV1 – Range: 100km, Price: 95,000
- Revolt RV1+ – Range: 160km, Price: 1,05,000
- Revolt RV Blaze X – Range: 150km, Price: 1,20,000
- Revolt RV400 BRZ – Range: 150km, Price: 1,30,000
- Revolt RV400 – Range: 150km, Price: 1,40,000
All five variants are readily available in the market, and the key differentiators among all five EVs are as follows.
The Revolt RV400 and Revolt RV400 BRZ share the same architecture, design, and have the same core components. But BRZ is like a slightly reduced version of the OG RV400 with no app connectivity, prolonged charging time, and reduced motor power, but has a lesser ex-showroom price.
Feature | Revolt RV400 | Revolt RV400 BRZ |
---|---|---|
Price (ex-showroom) | ₹1.40 Lakh | ₹1.30 Lakh |
Battery & Motor Power | 3.24 kWh; ~4.1 kW motor | Same 3.24 kWh; ~3 kW motor |
Range (Mode-dependent) | Up to 150 km/charge (Eco), 100 km (Normal), 80 km (Sport) | 150 km (Eco), 100 km (Normal), 80 km (Sport) |
Top Speed | ~85 km/h | ~85 km/h (same as RV400) |
Charging Time | ~3.5 hours to 80% (Standard claim) | ~3 hours to full or 75% in 3 hrs, 100% in ~4.5 hrs |
Tech Features | Smartphone app, connectivity, geo-fencing, navigation assist | Simplified; lacks app connectivity and features like keyless start |
Colour Options | 6 colours available | 5 colours available |
Positioning | Premium, full-featured variant | Budget-friendly variant, value-focused |
Now if we compare the RV1 and RV1+ the plus variant is obviously the high end motorcycle. Both have a hub motor (unlike the RV400’s belt drive) and have all the minimal features just that the RV1 has a lower battery capacity and thus have lesser range and lower ex-showroom price.
Feature | RV1 | RV1+ |
---|---|---|
Price (ex-showroom) | ~₹95,000 | ~₹1,05,000 |
Battery Capacity | 2.2 kWh (LFP battery) | 3.24 kWh (same as RV400) |
Range (claimed) | ~100 km per charge | ~160 km per charge |
Motor Power | ~2.8 kW hub motor | ~2.8 kW hub motor (same) |
Top Speed | ~70 km/h | ~70 km/h |
Charging Time (0–80%) | ~2 hr 15 min | ~3 hr 30 min |
The next variant i.e. Revolt RV Blaze X, is like a bridge between RV400 and RV series. It comes with hub motor but its technical features are neither high as the RV400 nor as low as the RV1. Talking about specs, it comes with battery capacity and motor power similar to the RV400, i.e. 3.5kWh and 4.1 kW
But it lacks some tech features like, geo-fencing, GPS tracking, immobilizer, no sim connectivity, no trip history, etc. while it does have, are bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, battery stats, smart alerts, reverse mode etc.

Which Variant is performing best in the market
Before launching diffrent variants the revolt was positioned as a premium EV maker due to which it was loosing a great chunk of tier 2 and tier 3 customer. The Revolt marketing team must have noticed it and they launched a wide range of EV suitable for all kinds of customer. The result of this activity is clearly visible on the ground level.
While the sales of OG RV400 remain on top the RV1 and RV1+ are also rising rapidly due its cost and being the least sophisticated.
What Should You Buy – A detailed Comparison
- RV1 (Base Commuter) • For: Budget-conscious daily commuters, students, delivery riders. • Why: • Lowest price point. • Basic commuting features, easy to ride/maintain. • Not for: Tech enthusiasts or long-distance riders.
- RV1+ (Commuter + Smart Upgrade) • For: Young professionals, city commuters who want value with some smart features. • Why: • Adds app integration, navigation, reverse assist. • Better for those who like to track rides and get smart alerts. • Still affordable, but feels “smarter” than RV1. • Not for: Riders looking for premium power/tech or highway rides.
- RV Blaze X (Smart Practical Commuter) • For: Tech-savvy commuters & mid-range buyers. • Why: • Bluetooth app, reverse assist, OTA updates. • Focused on practical tech, not flashy gimmicks. • USB charging port → useful for city + gig economy (delivery, couriers, young working class). • Not for: Riders who want 4G cloud features or performance-oriented feel.
- RV400 (Premium Flagship) • For: Tech enthusiasts, early adopters, style-focused riders. • Why: • Cloud-based IoT (geo-fencing, remote lock, 4G SIM). • Artificial exhaust sounds → emotional connection for bike lovers. • Best for those who want an “EV with superbike feel” in budget. • Not for: Those who want a pure commuter EV (overkill for just office rides).
- RV400 BRZ / Special Editions • For: Enthusiasts who want unique design trims, limited edition style, or collector value. • Why: • Cosmetic + styling upgrades. • Same performance as RV400, but looks stand out. • Not for: Someone who only cares about function and cost.
